Mitigation without impact (invitation to painting) (2013)

Another look about the mass protests of June 2013, in Brazil. I realized a set of 35 images, between June, 9th, 2013 and February, 15th, 2014; showing the façades of public and private institutions located in the city center of Rio de Janeiro protected by plywood sidings, in an emergency interdiction. It is a reflection about the impact of what is yet unsaid, and what is yet to become, evincing a certain paranoia towards the fanciful possibilities of depredation. The temporary cancellation of storefronts, logotypes and other visibilities is an aesthetic alteration that brings up one of the soft strengths of popular mobilization.
